about

First reissue of underground 1978 single by Garbo's Celluloid Heroes. Garbo, aka Chris Evans, best known as the singer for psych pop band World of Oz, reinvented his solo career when teaming up with Celluloid Heroes for "Only Death is Fatal". Though not a commercial success, the raw Birmingham punk energy earned acclaim, with the Walsall Observer calling it "a cert for the charts." Now a cult classic, the quintessential diamond in the rough song has built up its own obscure following through the decades.
